Pentland Walking Group

The Pentland Walking Group is a long established component of social life at Fairmilehead Parish Church. We welcome everyone interested in walking. Families and children are always welcome, especially on picnic walks.

Our walks fall into three broad groups:

Summer Walks are from April to September generally take place on Tuesday evenings, leaving the church car park promptly at 6.40pm.

Winter Walks are from October to March are on Sunday afternoons leaving the church car park at 1.40pm.

Picnic Walks - these are usually longer walks on Sunday afternoons or full-day walks on Saturdays or weekdays.  Most leave from the church car park but starting times vary.

We usually use members' cars to take walkers to the start point of each walk.    Before leaving the church we try to fill the cars as much as possible so that the number of vehicles are kept to a minimm.  There is always enough space for those without cars.  Sometimes we use local buses so remember to bring your bus passes or fares. Distances vary but most of our walking is within the three to six mile range.  Everyone is welcome!  smiley

Membership is free!  Just turn up suitably dressed shortly before the departure time and introduce yourself to the leader.

For further details please contact Esther Middleton or Isobel Cameron via the Church Office.
