Bereavement Support Group

NEW Bereavement Support Group

Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give but cannot. All of that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is love with no place to go.’   (Jamie Anderson)

God has said ‘Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you’ Hebrews 13:5

We know that loss can make you feel isolated, adrift, bewildered. Our experience is that people who are bereaved benefit from sharing some of that journey with others who understand loss and grief.  Sharing experiences can bring reassurance and mutual support as new issues are faced.

A Bereavement Support Group will start in September, taking place on the last Tuesday of each month at 7pm, in Caerketton hall.

It will be a place to meet with others who have experienced loss. There will be no set agenda or topics for discussion, but provides an opportunity to share stories, thoughts and feelings, in a safe, confidential space. The group will be led by Hilary Peppiette, an experienced bereavement support facilitator, who will be there to make sure that everyone feels comfortable and warmly welcome.

The next meeting date will be confirmed shortly
