Foodbank Donation Point

No child should be hungry.

Foodbank Donation Point for families in need

Beginning on November 5th, we are delighted that our church will become a donation point for The Trussell Trust and Re-Act, Refugee Action Scotland.

Our focus will be specifically for families of young children and babies.

We are asking for donations of baby food jars, baby wipes and nappies (sizes 4, 5 and 6), laundry tabs, baby and child shampoo.  We would also receive donations of tinned children's food as well as treats for children of biscuits, sweets and crisps.

The Donation Point will be open on Thursdays from 12 noon until 3pm.  Access is through the church garden and NOT through the foyer.  In keeping with Covid-19 regulations, we will only be able to receive items on Thursdays.  A rota of volunteers has been made.  Please contact Cheryl (cmckellaryoung@churchofscotland.org.uk) if you would like to join the support rota for the donation desk or if you can help by volunteering as a driver delivering to the Foodbank.

Christmas Toys - we are also collecting new toys for refugee families this Christmas.

Many thanks for your generosity.
